With over 40 years experience in the furniture industry I have been involved in small, medium and large projects.
Included were some weird and wonderful if not challenging projects.
The two that come to mind was a 200 bedroom hotel where the client asked us to remove all of the furniture, including 400 bed pieces through a fourth floor window and on to a hoist. This took us down to the pavement and from there they were loaded on to our trucks.
Project two was the removal of over 1200 articles of office furniture, including desks, shairs, filing etc.
It was made more difficult when the client asked that we do this overnight as there were other companies using the building.. Difficult, however both projects were completed successfully and our clients were more than happy. In fact the hotel group have had us clear two other hotel. We have now expanded to offer full rip service, including removing fitted furniture and carpets.
Implementing the four Rs
We at Greener Waste Solutions have fully embraced the four Rs model when it comes to disposing of redundant furniture. We have recognised that the quickest and most efficient way to dispose of redundant furniture is to offer it free of charge. This is acomplished using SM such as facebook, market place and gumtree freebies to name a few. this helps us in two ways. Not only does it help people who may not be able to replace older items, but also helps us maintain our 4 Rs objective.
